If you are into hiking and backpacking in the Northern California and Southern Oregon area, then this is a channel that is for you.  Just click on the link to my YouTube channel on my social bar or check out some videos strait from my blog posts.In my videos, I am not the star.  The landscapes, beauty of the hike and the trail are what's important.  If you want to see vlog style videos documenting the fun and struggles of thu-hiking for instance, I've tried that and have decided that's not what I'm about.  If you want documentation and video clips of the trail that I'm hiking, then watch my videos.  The trail comes first, and that is what I want to show.

My Background

 

I am an experienced outdoors person who attended college for forestry in the Redwoods of Northern California in the early 1990's. I worked in the outdoors for 10+ years including a stint as a consultant forester in the Southwestern United States including New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and Arizona. I've been looking for a way to get serious about the outdoors again, and I think that making videos, photography, and writing trail guide books will be my passion.

 

My recreational outdoor experience includes hiking, camping, fishing and backpacking in every western state including Alaska & British Columbia Canada. I look forward to sharing a special part of my life with the world and sharing my knowledge of trees, plants, and forest ecology with my viewers.
